Aufect Presents together with 314 are very excited to bring to Canada for the very first time, the one, the only... Wheez-ie!!
Hailing from the heartland of crunk and dirty south, Wheez-ie aka Matt Mauldin has been on a steady rise in the underground bass music scene since his first release dropped on Well Rounded Individuals back in 2011.
His productions blend the sounds of juke and footwork, with his hometown influenced ghetto-aesthetic and a healthy respect for the old school rave. Combining perfect amounts of chest-caving subs, cheeky vocal sampling and innovative synthesizer use. Being a recent graduate of Berklee Music School you can hear the quality oozing from every facet of his productions. He seems to have an inherent midas touch that give his music a certain je ne sais quoi, that is equal parts club friendly and intellectual.
Now, with some serious weight behind his catalogue, on some of the scene's most revered labels like Frite Nite, Embassy, Freshmore and Grizzly, and arguably one of last year's biggest anthems in 'Barefoot Billy' there seems to be no stopping Matt from certain world domination.
Join us would you, for a night of forward thinking dance music, with some of favourite locals supporting. We promise stirling vibes, cheap dranks, and the best damn music. Pushing forward to bridge the gaps and bring to Vancouver the finest artists from around the globe.

MOONRUNNER / LA ROYALE / YESCO - ELECTRIQUE RECORDS, MEXICO CITY,
'Moonrunner', also known as 'La Royale', 'Yesco', or 'Mijo'. He has published tracks on labels such as Gomma Records, La Belle, ISM, Gazeebo International and Maxi Discs and as well his own label 'Electrique Records'. Mexican New Wave Hits Vancouver!
Formed in 2009, the acclaimed Mexican discopunk, electro label
'Electrique Records' has gained alot of response globally in recent months. The main focus of Electrique Music is to push the boundaries of latin music and redefine the Mexican electronic sound. In September, UK disco label ISM Records released the "Mexican New Wave" album which features many of Electriques' unique artists and delivers a gritty sound that borders on Italo Disco, Deep House, Boogie Funk, and Classic rave. Most recently, Electrique has just released intense reworkings of 'Relax' by Frankie Goes to Hollywood, and
features versions from both La Royale and Tesco.
NEIGHBOUR - HOMEBREAKIN RECORDS,
'Right Now' Neighbour has now moved past the tennis instructor unitard stage & straight into bondage, using synth and midi cables to tie you up with his hypnotic house.
If you can catch him without a 'Drunken Piano', you might be able to look deep inside his 'Organ Eyes' and see 'You Can Do It' 'In the City'
Through his two giant crystals, and lots of OM'ing, he now has the knowledge to 'Enter the Temple." His latest set of tunes has been bringing 'Ghetto Music' to "Thrillseekers' everywhere across two continents. You could say that in this part of the Americas, Homebreakin Records is now being described as 'The Sound Out Here.'
'Serious Clowns' rejoice, many of us 'Feel the Same Way' dancing under the "Purple Lights' of his dance floor slammers that quite often make us all 'Look at Each Other and Say Yeah!'
SPILTMILK- HOMEBREAKIN RECORDS, SUPER HI FI, OCD RECORDS
Spilt Milk has been liquefying minds and demolishing dancefloors since many of us were a glimmer in our mama’s eyes. An integral part of Homebreakin Records, Spilt Milk is well known for his vinyl funk, disco, house, and hip hop sets all over Canada.
In 2011,Spilt Milk had an epic year, playing festival sets at Basscoast Project(CAN), Shambala (CAN), Universo Paralello (BRAZIL), Mistura Fina (BRAZIL). He has kept going locally playing a series of monthly Beaumont events: Body Language, Back in the Day, and Fucken Awesome.
In fall- winter 2012, Spilt Milk will be releasing an EP on UK label OCD records. Also, watch out for a new Spilt Milk remix coming out on Washington DC’s Super HiFi Label.

Nina Kraviz (Moscow, Russia) | Bio
Nina Kraviz is currently the name on everyone's lips in the house and techno community. Very rarely does a DJ/Producer shoot to stardom so quickly - and when they do, they seldom have the talent to back it up. Nina is the exception to the rule.
After spending her childhood in the Siberian city of Irkutsk, Nina moved to Moscow and gradually found herself more involved in the local scene. She began producing music in 2008, and before long had her first release 'Voices' on the Underground Quality imprint in 2009. Around the same time, Nina began making a name for herself as a DJ, spinning in Moscow's bars and clubs. This led to a 2-year stint running a very well known Friday night party at one of the most respected clubs in Russia, Propaganda.
Her second release on UQ 'First Time EP' had great support from DJs and press alike, receiving 4.5/5 from Resident Advisor. In the same year she had her 'breakthrough' hit on Rekids, 'Pain In The Ass', featuring the arguably more successful 'I'm Gonna Get You' on the B Side – which Nina still gets asked to play. She also collaborated with Efdemin for their release 'Hotter Than July / Sun' on his Naif label. The gigs started to come thick and fast, and by the end of 2010, Nina could claim to have played the major clubs across the globe – mixing her unique raw blend of House, Techno, Acid and rare goodies, much to the punters' delight.
Last year saw her release a second single on Naif, as well as a collaboration with Sascha Funke on BPitch Control and the well received remix of Okain's 'Scream' on Tsuba. Rekids was also proud to present her second release with us in the form of 'I'm Week' – a truly unique take on House music, that translates just as well on radio without compromising its integrity.
2012 will see the release of Ninaʼs eponymously titled album ʻNina Kravizʼ on Rekids, along with a world tour and the launch of a new live show.
I'm throwing down visuals at W2 tonight. It's going to be off the hooker.

The theme this year is ‘Noah’s Ark‘. The story goes that Noah was warned of a flood that would cover the earth and was instructed to build a large ark. He was told to round up a male and female of each creature and get them on the boat to guarantee their continued existence. Come as an animal... come as a pair, or come solo in the hopes of finding your equally special animal... use your imagination. We always strongly encourage you to dress up, get creative, and HAVE FUN!
We have over 20,000 watts of sounds, enough lasers to confuse NASA, 40+ of the finest DJ’s in the Sea to Sky Corridor, a brand new amazing venue, a beach stage, a live area, a chill zone, and a bag of surprises we will slowly leak as the party gets closer... or maybe we won’t Mu hu ha ha ha (Evil Laugh)
The new AMAZING new venue is nestled in the trees, right beside a slow moving spot on the Squamish river where the sand is super soft. This is hands down our MOST BEAUTIFUL venue to date!!!!!
We will be starting the festivities early on Saturday with opening Ceremonies and a Dj Contest. Depending on the weather we will be carrying on well into Sunday with funky beats and a BBQ to help everyone feel great before we decide to depart.
This Saturday we're taking over the streets. Catch my set at 4:20pm on Main and Broadway.
Back by popular demand, the MPBIA is ecstatic to host its 3rd Annual Autumn Shift Festival from noon to 6 pm on Saturday, September 15, 2012.

The MPBIA’s Autumn Shift Festival is a family-friendly street party with great music, fabulous food, fun and free children’s activities, and the chance to meet and mingle with MPBIA friends, neighbours, and business owners.

Its warm atmosphere and truly unique visual aesthetic has made it a festival favourite for those drawn to global musical experiences, solemn moments, and dance abandon amongst nautral beauty. On July 14, we celebrate another year of grooves beside the Salmo River with stage curator Hoola and three local favourites.

What’s happens after someone has spent years touring the dive bars of North America, sleeping on stranger’s couches, eating cigarettes and coffee for breakfast, honing their bass chops in bands that played everything from punk to jazz? They wise up, step out of the van, take their hard-earned musical lessons and become one of Vancouver’s premier DJs.
Woodhead’s climb to the top of Vancouver’s dj scene started in dark East Van warehouses and all night dance parties where he fused hip-hop, house and electro, gaining him exposure in Vancouver’s club scene. He's currently a resident DJ with Intimate Productions, who host kick ass parties all over town and ran the long running night SiGNAL Saturdays at the former Lotus Sound Lounge in Vancouver where he headlined for 4 years. Darren also makes rad visuals.
