The Ocean Legacy Foundation Presents: DevOcean tonight at The Beaumont


Vancouver's World Environment Day Event!

DevOcean is an inspired evening of learning and dancing for creative thinkers, concerned citizens, and powerful community leaders to come together in discussions oceanic plastic pollution and current plastics-to-oil technologies being offered as solutions to waste plastics.

Come Learn:

How United Nation's endorsed plastics-to-oil technology can provide a viable economic solution to waste plastics and oceanic plastic pollution.

What plastics are doing to our BC coastline and

How YOU can get involved in solutions to better your community and a healthier planet!

Come watch and learn how our Plastic to Fuel Conversion Unit will transform your plastic trash into a valuable fuel source. We will be taking marine debris collected on one of our expeditions and processing it during the event to show people that plastics-to-oil technology could revolutionize waste management and the energy sector.

1) Make sure you come early to get a good seat, we are expecting a very full house.

2) Light refreshments and snacks will be served.

3) All proceeds from this event go directly into supporting Ocean Legacy's expeditions, education and the purchase of a large scale plastic to fuel conversion mobile unit.

4) Ticket Cost: Suggested Donation $40
If you can't afford the $40 we ask for a minimum donation of $20 and a helping hand. Please e-mail us for a volunteer shift.

Guest Speakers Include:

Jason Tanne
Founder of ReSynergi LCC and
Blest Inc. Representative

Jason specializes in design, development, manufacturing and sales of scalable plastic-
to-oil systems. He has a MBA in International Business Management from Thunderbird,
School of Global Management and is President and Founder of ENergy LLC, a joint
venture with world-leading Blest Inc. Jason is also the founder and President of Japan Health and Cascade Pacific Health & Technology, his career has been incredibly rich managing and directing business ventures from international marketing to advanced fibre communications for Asia Pacific. He has in depth knowledge and business experience in the USA, Asia, Europe, Latin America and Middle East, living in parts of most of these countries. Jason is focused on bringing new recycling, energy saving and sound green technologies to market while keeping a keen interest in environmental issues and technologies.

Chloé Dubois
President and co-founder of The Ocean Legacy Foundation

Chloé has a background in sustainable agriculture, specializing in community and interdisciplinary education development. She has her BES Honours in Environment and Resource Management and diploma in Strategic Environmental Assessment from the University of Waterloo, Canada. Her work and research has brought her all over the world from Australia, to the USA and parts of Central & South America. She has had the privilege of working with acclaimed world leaders Joanna Macy, The Work That Reconnects and Mark Lakeman, The City Repair Project. In 2012, she co-founded The Ocean Legacy Foundation, which focuses on bringing innovative programming and sustainable technologies to waste management. Chloe has strong interests in deep ecology and is focused on developing transformative education which targets changing environmental ethics to reflect the inherent connection and importance of the natural environment.

Special guest performance by:
Adham Shaikh: Is a Juno and Emmy Award-nominated music producer, composer, sound designer, and DJ who brings his uniquely powerful global sounds to the world stage and screen, not to mention many a crowded dance floor.

Including appearances by:
Bloco Energia: This band is a 15+ percussion collective of people brought together by their passion for Brazilian music and dance.

Neighbour: Vancouver-based DJ / Producer of Disco, Deep House, and Analog flavours. Co-Owner of Homebreakin Records and Punchout Recordings, prolific producer and remixer on leading underground house, funk, and disco labels worldwide.

SobeyOne: A lover of music who enjoys crafting the perfect set for each occasion favoring events with conscious intention. A traveller of genres. Come join the ride! Sobey Wing has been a culture crafter in the Lower Mainland of BC since the 90's. A co-founding member of Tribal Harmonix dance community. For 10 years he has been the principle organizer of Earthdance Vancouver. He has also produced several shows with producer Evan Bluetech which have included accompanying acts, Pitch Black (NZ), Welder, Kilowatts, & Invisible Allies.

Gisto: Has been a long time lover and player of music including his work and tour with the band Wassabi Collective. He now is inspired by Reggae and bends genres between Reggae, Hip Hop, Dub, Dubstep, Funk, Rock, Electro.
